UC Riverside Helping Nepal
Dear UCR Campus Community,
As Nepal and its leaders struggle to assess and begin the slow process of recovery from Saturday’s devastating 7.8 earthquake, we join with others in sending condolences on the loss of life, property and cultural heritage that Nepal has suffered.
At UC Riverside, we know that members of our own community, on campus and beyond, have been personally affected by this tragedy. Please know that we stand with you in your sorrow.
A UCR student group, the South Asian Federation, is organizing a candlelight vigil to be held Thursday, April 30 at 7:30 p.m., at the flagpole near Hinderaker Hall. Please join if you can.
For those interested and able to donate to the relief effort, several United Nations organizations are soliciting funds for their urgent humanitarian work in Nepal.
